My top three birds would have to be

1. Osprey
2. Blackbird
3. Long Tailed Tit

Which birds do other UK Wildlife chat board browsers rate?
For my UK birds:

Kingfisher (I bet no one saw that coming!)
Lapwing (they are wonderful birds, virtually never seen in the US)
Nuthatch

I am glad to see I am not the only one who has Lapwing on my list. I remember the first time I saw them, there was a flock of them in a field just outside of Heathrow. They were the first birds I saw upon my return to England as an adult. Such gorgeous birds!

I see Bullfinch regular and in good numbers. And we often get three to four breeding pairs of Curlew around the village. But it has become a rare sight to see the Rook.Icon_sad I should add, around my area that is.

Chris.

I see Rooks quite alot, and I get regular visits from them in my garden
Ok here's mine!

Swift (I love the way they look)
Kingfisher (such beautiful colours)
Blue tit (watching blue tits on the feeder really got me into birds)
