There is a large sett near me, it is on colliery waste, very easy to dig. There is about 30 holes to the "Sett" and it is shared with good numbers of Rabbit, Badger and Fox. Every year there is Fox cubs born in the Sett, and you regularly see young Rabbits running around. It always amazes me how they can all live so close to each other, being "enemies" so to speak.

This "Sett" and interaction is fairly typical for my area, and it has puzzled me how they say that Badgers decrease Fox increase...to the extent that is being made that is. Fox will use very small galleries to raise it's young, and mostly makes sure there is plenty of escape routes. And i think Fox would be more readily take Badger cub than the other way around??
