It seems to me that almost all the good sites are near the coast. This is sad for a Wilts lass.

Is there anywhere to go in Wilts/Oxon/Berks? I don't want to get into hours long car trips.
I really don't know sorry. But welcome to the forums Jolanta! Icon_smile
Have a look here for birding sites:

Birding Wiltshire

Birding in Oxfordshire

And Birding in Berkshire

These should help. Just scroll down the pages and there is a list of sites on each page.

I really don't know Paul sorry. I was half asleep you see, it was a busy weekend, playing 6 hours of golf both days
GOLF!! Spoils a good birdwatching walk if you ask me!!Icon_cheesygrin
Well I don't go to golf to see wildlife you know! I go there to play and have fun in the process. But when I am there, I usually see:

Mallards
Moorhens
Coots
Long-tailed Tits
Goldfinches
Greenfinches
Sparrows
Hundreds of Crows flying in the sky,

and stuff like that
Golf? That strange game where you hit a small ball with a stick? I tried it once and was utterly bored, only managed to get two holes-in-one, so never bothered again.

But what about all those 'birdies'..?

LOL. Very good. Not to mention the Eagles!!
Well I have only got one birdie I'll have you know! I was very proud of it to be honest.
It was a short par three, and on my first shot, the ball landed about 4 feet from the hole, and then I putted it in for 2 (a birdie on a par 3)
Oh yeah, and the Albatroses!
