Sadly, the message boards had just as much anti-presenter stuff on as the Springwatch board - about all of them, not just Bill Oddie. Though the majority of replies were against the posters.
This spoils the forum for me somewhat - I don't see why people can't stick to the wildlife, and take their moans and complaints elsewhere. We're pretty lucky to get programmes like Springwatch/Autumnwatch as far as I'm concerned.

We don't get such programmes in the US, so I would agree wholeheartedly. Oh well, such is life!

Yes another fan here - although not as much as Spring Watch.
Nothing to do with the season, but rather that I thought that Autumn Watch had a lot of padding, small amount of content stretched way too far. I had had enough of both Simon King and the Deer by the end of the last series - nothing to do with Simon himself, just repetatitve filming of nothing new happening.
I think they are both brilliant shows, but I think that Spring Watch is better becasue thats when all the young chicks are fledging and stuff like that.
The whole trouble with the live shows is that nature is so unpredictable. Thats why the presenters have to pad it out sometimes. I must admit, i prefered the Devon Farm location to Slimbridge. Still a great programme to look forward to and my little girl loves the Ceebeebies version of Autumn watch. A great way to introduce kids to the nature of the UK.
