In the news recently has been UK scientists fears that their work planning to mix animal and human cells to find cures for degenerative diseases will be halted.

What are peoples views on this? My personal opinion is that creating these embryo's is not doing any harm, and the potential to cure disease should surely be encouraged. The general public opinion according to the article however seems to be against these "hybrids" embryos.
From what I understand the embryo's will be very early in their development and therefore I don't have a problem with it. It's back to the old question though, "When does life actually begin?"
"When does life actually begin?"

According to the Christian church at the moment of conception, which is why I would imagine they are against this.
I think only scientist knows about the advantage of embro's based on their experiments. If it's a cure of all diseases, what took it so long to be approved? There are many people suffered different kind of disease nowadays.
