DEMAND THAT MALTA RESPECTS THE EU LAW AND STOP KILLING OF PROTECTED BIRDS
Malta has recently come out of a court case at the European Court of Justice and been found in breach of the Birds Directive for opening a spring hunting season in 2004,5,6,7. Despite this, the Maltese government is coming under a lot of pressure by the hunting lobby to open the season again this year, and shamelessly has announced it is considering opening the season.
Because of this, we are running an international petition to demand that Malta respects the EU birds Directive and does not open spring hunting this year. Please help BirdLife Malta’s campaign against illegal killing of protected bird species by signing the petition here:
