Hi CW
I`ve had pleurisy in the past, so know how awful you must have felt! Take care, I hope you`ll soon feel mended!

Hello
My aplogies that i haven't been about this week, but i've had a pig of a week to be honest..
Just after the kittens arrived and took over the house, I came down with a rotten cold which completed knocked my energy levels to zero
I then attended my diabetic clinic to be told my blood sugar is not as steady as they would like and i've been referred back up to the hospital ...
Just as things were begining to look up on the cold front, my puppy Zak took a nasty tumble and dislocated his elbow joint on one of his back legs and had to be rushed to the vet..
The vet managed to manipulate his kneecap back where it should have been but sadly poor Zak is still walking pretty bad and if it doesn't improve by monday, the next step is a x-ray to see if the problem will right itself as he matures or whether he will need a operation to correct the joint..estimated cost around the £2000 mark !!!
So, fingers tightly crossed this coming week will be better than this one.
Take Care everyone

Hi JD
Hope you, and Zak, will soon be ok! Did you decide on a name for the kittens?

Made the mistake <???> of helping my daughter out at the local animal rescue centre open-day / fundraiser this week. Ok so it wasn't REALLY a mistake but it was a FATAL decision. I came away with another dog! It was love at first sight! She is an utterly gorgeous little Jack Russell who has been horribly treated in the past. You would think that she would now hate the sight of humans but quite the opposite. She follows me everywhere and has made friends with my kids / grandkids / neighbours / other dogs. As I type she is curled up on the sofa with my other half (allegedly) watching Stephen Fry and blue whales on the telly. In fact, the pair of them are fast asleep ..... sorry, I must correct that ........they are 'just resting their eyes' (and snoring!!!).
What makes people abuse the trust of these lovely creatures. Hopefully, with a bit of love and care, we can show her that not ALL humans are alike.
