I saw an advert today for the Sun newspapers "Wildlife conservation" camapign and to be honest I was appalled.

The advert about a very serious and important topic is completely belittled by images of tigers, lions etc talking in supposedly comical accents about how "we can help" animals together. I think its great that the sun is at least trying to help wildlife, but advertising it in this way just makes the whole problem seem as if it is one big joke.

Maybe I'm being too harsh, I would like to know if anyone else has seen the advert and what they thought of it. Perhaps I shouldn't expect anymore than this from a paper like the sun!
I agree with you entirely, but sadly the level of Sun readers will probably love it!
I hope that the Sun knows its target audience and has decided that the way to make the most money for the cause is through adverts like this, rather than just jumping on the conservation bandwagon but not really taking it seriously.

I agree that the advert is embarrassingly crudely made, I hate it, but lets just hope it does the job.
I haven't seen the advert but it sounds like it is a real wasted oppurtunity to raise awareness amongst the suns readers of the problems that these animals face.

I'm sure it will do good and raise some money for the cause, but what we really need is people to change their attitude towards the problem, and stop thinking they can just give a bit of money and everything will be alright. This advert doesn't sound like it will change anyones attitudes towards wildlife conservation in the long term.
Yes your right, it is never going to change peoples attitude even if it does raise some money, so it is a wasted oppurtunity. At best, it might get some people interested in the subject who may then go onto find out more on the subject.
