I live near Portsmouth in the south of England, I have noticed that the Starlings have been flocking for quite a few days now. Is it to early for them to start and if not why do they start so early?
It is great to see them flying above and it is so nice to here them when they land. It also reminds my of that film, 'The Birds'

They're amazing to watch when they flock aren't they?
