Very worrying news. When will people start to realise that you have to act BEFORE something happens to prevent it, because once these animals do becme extinct, there is nothing we can do about it.

It's terrible news, but what makes it worse is that it probably dosen't come as much of a surprise for most of us. To have 50% of species at risk is appalling, and really should jolt some kind of reaction from the government, but I'm not holding my breath.

It's very bad news, but at least there is some concern being shown by the government about it and it is not being swept under the carpet.

When you say that 50% are under threat, does that mean that their numbers are actualy declining, or it is thought that these numbers could start to decline if nothing is done?

I think the report means that 50% of species are in decline now, which is an awful thought.
