Just been up to my old stomping ground in Yorkshire, Potteric Carr. The reserve is looking fantastic with lots of new paths, habitats and hides. Had a 'reserve tick' in the shape of two Little Egrets and a few year ticks, Willow Tit, Treecreeper, Spotted Flycatcher and Ruddy Duck. Went looking for Little Owl at another site, but no luck. Still managed Tree Sparrows, Yellow Wagtails, Barn Owl, Corn Bunting and loads of Mistle Thrushes though. Nice to visit but glad to be back in Cornwall!
