Full Version: bizarre spider(?) identification please

This beasty was on a bedside lampshade in a house in Dorset. A very distinctive feature of it was that it held its limbs flat against the surface. The spider was completely immobile while I photographed it; the next day it was gone. I've never seen anything like it.

Do you know what it is?
It looks like a harvestman spider (technically not a spider) to me. Very common at this time of year (hence the name), at least in this part of the world (the East Midlands).
Yes - that's definitely a Harvestman. Lots about round here at the moment.
