I spotted this earlier today


Just hope to see the actual moth one day
Great close up. You did well to spot it, as I can imagine it's quite camouflaged. I hope to one day see the real moth too.

after 11 years of looking I saw an adult female last year - she posed nicely for me so I will dig out the photo

Thank you - I first spotted this one just lying on the boardwalk but I think it's been attacked by something hence all that yellow stuff Icon_sad


But then I spotted the one I've previously posted just along the edge of the boardwalk - if I hadn't seen the first one just lying there I very much doubt I'd have seen that one.
