While we all love UK wildlife here the most, I'm sure we all enjoy watching and learning about foreign and more exotic wildlife too!

What is your favourite animal outside the UK?

I think mine at the moment has to be the meerkat. I love the way they are so social.

The lemming.
They have the perfect answer to over-population. A pity we can't learn from them.

I have a fascination with poisonous or large snakes, so I think I would go for the anaconda!

I'd go with the clouded leopard. I've never seen one in real life (it is critically endangered) but I was given a copy of the RSPB's Sumatran Rainforest calendar for Christmas and the October pic is this very shy leopard. Apparently they can climb trees and then descend down the trunks headfirst. I'd love to see that. The Sumatran tiger is rather gorgeous too!
