I ran my first garden moth trap last night. We managed to Id about 23 species - just a couple of tricky micros to go.

just the first trap in my garden. I suppose I have done about 30 sessions but have only recently started to learn the moths more seriously

Some nice moths in the list, i really like the emralds.
I run a trap nearly every other night, i am up to about 110 species since the end of March.

For some reason i thought you were in Cornwall,

Anyway the moth is Phlyctaenia coronata the larve feed on Elder.
It looks a little bit worn, but it looks like it may be Teleiodes vulgella, in the family of Gelechiidae.
It will be interesting to see what others come up with.
