Any ideas on the species?

Nice early start Jamie and good photo. Could be laudakia stellio but not 100% sure.Icon_rolleyes

Hmmm... I am not sure. Laudakia Stellio has a black dot on the cheek, but thanks anyway. Icon_smile I will put up a Q&A Thread on the Reptiles forum, becasue I have some more images for you all to decipher.
My brother's snake Tarzan snatching for a rat pup.
If we exclude amphibians I'm slightly short on photos, but I did see this grass snake a few weeks ago at Woods Mill in Sussex. (click image to enlarge)
Words, you dissapoint me. My picture is, of course, better than yours. I never thought I'd say that. Still, I've never seen a grass snake before. What was it like?
CC, seeing the snake was a strange moment. I don't think I've ever seen one in the wild before. It just slithered across the path a few feet in front of us. A nice moment.

Your brother's snake certainly has a mouthful there! What breed is it? A frind of mine used to have a boa.
I have no idea, only that his name is Tarzan and that he hisses a lot. I'd just love to have a tarantula, but my mama draws the line at me keeping ants. I'm hoping to get an Axolotl soon enough when I go to uni, though. Meanwhile, here's a pretty little newt I saw at London Zoo last week..
Hi all
This is my first post so I thought i would send in a pic for the competition....
It was taken in Kenya in 2005 with a Canon 20D and Sigma 28-135mm (with macro feature).
Some great shots on here!! keep up the good work!
Cheers
Ian
Oh, god, Ian's is bloody breathtaking. Well done! I'm afraid we can't be friends, though. Icon_wink
Hello,
here's my entry - a common lizard which was basking in the sun on a rock at Priddy Mineries in Somerset a couple of weekends ago Icon_smile

Here's one I took on Arnside Knott in Cumbria last month.
