Thanks Jamie, i use canon Canon macro lite flash sysytem which allows me to use a large aperture, thus giving me a bigger depth of filed (more in focus). But i still end up with alot a duff shots.

I like the shadow in Words' picture.
Mine was taken with my trusty Canon A640 on the macro setting. A zebra spider is a small invert and hand held the camera.

Yeah, the shaddow is almost creepy isn't it! Some very good pictures this month, I think it is going to be a close one (but don't we always say that) (oh, and this time I actually think it will!)

Just a little word of warning, if you dont vote for Xeract, he may delete your acount as he is the Administrator, so WATCH OUT! Icon_cheesygrin

Thats Ok Alex, I am no professional, but I am just passing on what I think. I have actually joined the local photography club, and the first meeting is tommorow night, so my photos should get better through time!

Another newbie here on the photo competition, and this time it is Words! I absolutely love the colouring in your picture. The red of the butterfly and the brown of the log contrast really well. Good shot!


Thanks Jamie. The light was great. That's actually our fence it landed on, which gave a great light background for picking out the colours and was perfect for the shadow.
